10763.1 1 CITY OF SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO1 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-__2 INTRODUCED BY:3 4 Mayor Michael Garcia5 Councilor Alma Castro6 7 8 9 A RESOLUTION10 AUTHORIZING THE ANNUAL INSTALLATION OF TWENTY-FIVE BANNERS FROM11 OCTOBER 1 TO NOVEMBER 1, COMMEMORATING THE SANTA FE12 INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ALONG THE GUADALUPE CORRIDOR.13 WHEREAS, SFCC 1987, Section 14-7.6(B)(2), allows permittees or the City of Santa Fe14 anners; and15 WHEREAS, SFCC 1987, Section 14- defines a16 temporary sign no larger than eighteen (18) square feet made of flexible material (cloth, paper,17 vinyl, or other lightweight, non-rigid material) on which information relating to an event, function,18 or activity is painted or printed, which projects from, hangs from, or is affixed to a City-owned19 supported structure ; and20 WHEREAS, the Resolution regarding banner installation must specify the dates of21 display, location, number, installation, maintenance, and cost; and22 WHEREAS, the Santa Fe International Film Festival wishes to display banners annually23 from October 1 to November 1, to commemorate and promote the Festival as an important artistic24 and cultural event; and25 10763.1 2 WHEREAS, the banners are intended to draw attention to The Santa Fe International Film1 Festival, New Mexico qualifying film festival.2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE3 CITY OF SANTA FE approves the following banner design and installation plan:4 Dates: The banners may be displayed each year from October 1st 5 through November 1st.6 Location: The banners may be displayed on light poles located along7 Guadelupe Street from Cerrillos Road to West Alameda8 Street.9 Number: Twenty-five (25) total banners may be displayed.10 Design Approval Process: The Planning and Land Use Director and City Attorney11 have approved the banner design as conforming to all12 applicable requirements and restrictions.13 Installation: Santa Fe International Film Festival will only utilize light14 poles with banner structure already installed. Santa Fe15 International Film Festival will incur all costs for the16 installation of the banners.17 Maintenance: Banners that become damaged, defaced, or are in any18 form of disrepair shall be replaced immediately at the19 expense of the Santa Fe International Film Festival. The20 City reserves the right to remove any banners the City21 deems in disrepair prior to their scheduled removal date.22 Cost Allocation: The Santa Fe International Film Festival shall be23 responsible for all costs associated with purchasing,24 installation, and removal of the banners.25 10763.1 3 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this ______day of ___________, 2026.1 2 3 ____________________________4 MICHAEL J.
