10760.1 1 CITY OF SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO1 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-__2 INTRODUCED BY:3 4 Mayor Michael Garcia5 Councilor Amanda Chavez6 Councilor Jamie Cassutt7 8 9 A RESOLUTION10 UPDATING RESOLUTION NO. 2025-38 TO INCLUDE SENIORS IN THE SCOPE OF11 SERVICE AT THE MICRO COMMUNITY TO BE LOCATED AT 2395 RICHARDS12 AVENUE.13 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2025-38 identified the City of Santa Fe’s (“City”) property14 at 2395 Richards Avenue as a location for a Micro Community (“the Richards Avenue Micro15 Community”), and it established that this community would provide shelter and supportive services16 for families with children and youth experiencing homelessness in Santa Fe; and17 WHEREAS, the City has identified an additional need for shelter and supportive services18 for seniors experiencing homelessness; and19 WHEREAS, the property located at 2395 Richards Avenue can house up to fifty (50) units,20 is not abutting schools, daycare or playgrounds, is accessible to Emergency Medical Service21 Vehicles and trash pickup, and is approximately a third of a mile from the main road, while still22 being located close to two City bus routes (numbers Four and Six); and23 WHEREAS, including seniors at the Richard’s Avenue Micro Community will provide24 safer and more stable living conditions for older adults experiencing homelessness; and25 10760.1 2 WHEREAS, the Governing Body wishes to include seniors at the Richard’s Avenue Micro1 Community in addition to families with children and youth.2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE3 CITY OF SANTA FE that Resolution No. 2025-38 be updated to include seniors experiencing4 homelessness in the Richards Avenue Micro Community’s scope of service.5 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this ______day of ___________, 2026.6 7 ____________________________8 MICHAEL J.
