Date: October 1, 2026 To: BDD Board From: Bradley Prada, BDD Facilities Manager Re: BDD Facilities Manager Monthly Update to the BDD Board This report outlines current progress on key facility projects, service procurement, and staffing updates as of October 2026. • Major Repair and Replacement (MR&R) Fund. Following the previous update regarding the centrifuge failure, delivery of the rebuilt unit is scheduled for October 31, 2026. The unit is expected to be operational within a couple of weeks of delivery. o To train new personnel and provide a refresher for existing staff, a vendor led training session will be conducted after commissioning the rebuilt unit to review proper operation and maintenance. • Expiring Contracts for Required Services The BDD team is actively drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for upcoming fiscal year service contracts. Initiating procurement early accounts for standard processing timelines and prevents schedule compression near renewal deadlines. • Current Job Vacancy Updates BDD personnel continue to collaborate closely with City HR staff to fill open positions.
