Dear Members of the Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my interest in serving on the Santa Fe Film & Digital Media Council.
I have been directly involved with the film industry through Bonanza Creek Ranch since 2020,
although our family has been supporting and advocating for filming in New Mexico for decades.
Since becoming involved, I have had the opportunity to work with productions of all sizes and see
firsthand the positive impact the film industry has on Santa Fe and the surrounding communities.
While I represent Bonanza Creek Ranch, my interest in serving on the council goes beyond any
one business or location. I care deeply about the continued growth of the film industry in Santa Fe
and would welcome the opportunity to be part of the conversations and efforts that support its
future.
I am relatively new to the broader areas of stewardship, tourism, and economic development, but I
have a strong desire to learn, collaborate, and be part of something I am passionate about. I enjoy
working with people, listening to different perspectives, and finding practical solutions. My
experience working closely with productions has given me a unique perspective, and I am invested
in the long-term success of our local film community.
Thank you for your consideration. I would be honored to serve on the Film & Digital Media Council
and contribute in any way I can.
Sincerely,
Shannon Hughes
