Re: Case #2026-012488-HDRB (Construction of a new residence at 925 Canyon Road)
Dear Board Members & Historic Staff,
The proposed project includes a new residence located in the Downtown-Eastside Historic
District, and is designed in accordance with Recent Santa Fe style. The new house will be
located on the northern portion of the lot, which is currently vacant. The single-story
residence will be 1835 heated square feet, with a total roofed area of 2301 sf, which
includes portals and a garage. The maximum height proposed is 14’aff, approximately 14’-6”
above finished grade, where the maximum allowable height permitted is 18’-1”. The stucco
will be El Rey “Suede”, wood trim will be Old Masters “Weathered Wood”, and clad wood
windows will have “Dark Bronze” cladding. A 6’-0” high coyote fence will be added along the
west property line.
The existing non-contributing residence on the property is not being altered at this time,
and is not included in this proposal.
The proposed design complies with all Downtown and Eastside Design Standards, and we
are not requesting any variances or exceptions. Thank you for your consideration in this
