Re: BDD Facilities Manager Monthly Update to the BDD Board
This report outlines current progress on key facility projects and staffing as of September 2026. Updates include
continued progress on the Design/Build project, insights from active Ranney well and San Juan-Chama Project
site visits, and ongoing recruitment efforts.
• Design/Build project
The project team, comprising WWE, AECOM, and BDD staff, is finalizing the draft contract for the 30% design
phase and anticipates completion prior to launching negotiations with the team selected through the RFQ
process.
• Ranney Well Site Visit
BDD staff, WWE, and AECOM toured an active Ranney well construction site to evaluate construction
methodologies and operational mechanics. Insights gained from this visit will directly inform the ongoing
feasibility assessment.
• San Juan Chama Project Tour
BDD staff participated in an interagency tour of the SJCP diversions and contributing watershed. The site visits
provided valuable coordination opportunities with various statewide governing agencies regarding long-term
water conveyance and management.
• Current Job Vacancy Updates
BDD personnel are collaborating closely with City HR staff to fill open positions.
