10772.0 CITY OF SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO1 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A RESOLUTION10 AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN’S FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM VERY LOW11 DENSITY TO LOW DENSITY, FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.27 ACRES OF LAND AT12 PARCEL NUMBERS 99312180 AND APPROXIMATELY 0.46 ACRES OF LAND AT13 99312181, WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA FE (CASE NO. 2025-10766).14 WHEREAS, Sommer Karnes and Associates, LLP (“the Agent”) on behalf of Montoya y15 Garcia LLC (“the Owner”) submitted a General Plan Amendment application to the City of Santa Fe16 (“City”) to amend the Future Land Use Map (“the Amendment”); and17 WHEREAS, pursuant to SFCC 1987 14-2.1(C)(2)(II), the Governing Body must amend the18 General Plan before approving a change to a zoning district designation that is inconsistent with the19 land use classification shown on the General Plan’s Future Land Use Map ; and20 WHEREAS, pursuant to NMSA 1978, Section 3-19-9(A), and SFCC 1987 Section 14-21 2.1(C)(5)(I)(f), the City may amend its General Plan with the general purpose of guiding and22 accomplishing a coordinated, adjusted, and harmonious development of the City which will, in23 accordance with existing and future needs, best promote health, safety, morals, order, convenience,24 prosperity or the general welfare as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development; and25 10772.0 WHEREAS, pursuant to SFCC 1987 Section 14-2.1(B)(1)(II)(b), the Amendment requires an early1 neighborhood notification (“ENN”) meeting, and one ENN was held on April 24, 2025 and no members2 from the public attended; and3 WHEREAS, SFCC 1987 Table 2-1 requires the Planning Commission review and recommend4 proposed revisions and amendments to the General Plan to the Governing Body; and5 WHEREAS, on May 7, 2026, the Planning Commission, reviewed evidence related to the6 Amendment, held a public hearing, and voted to recommend to the Governing Body a change to the7 General Plan Future Land Use Map from very low density to low density; and8 WHEREAS, on August 26, 2026, the Governing Body held a public hearing on the9 Amendment, reviewed the staff report, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the evidence10 presented at the public hearing, and determined that the proposed amendment to the General Plan, as11 recommended by the Planning Commission, meets the approval criteria as set forth in SFCC 198712 Section 14-2.1(C)(5).13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE14 CITY OF SANTA FE that the General Plan Future Land Use Map is amended to change the15 designation of approximately 0.27 acres of land at parcel number 99312180 and approximately 0.4616 acres of land at parcel number 99312181 from “Very Low Density” to “Low Density” within the City17 of Santa Fe, as shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.18 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this_______day of _______________2026.19 20 21 ___________________________________22 MICHAEL J.
